Mr. Francis Jackson Bell, 95, of Elberton, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020.A native of Elberton, he was the son of the late George Newton and Mary Mann Bell.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Martha Louise Taylor Bell, brother and sister-in-law, George and Marjorie Bell and sisters-in-law, Jo Bell and Margaret Prather. Mr. Bell served his country in the US Army and was retired from the Elberton Federal Savings and Loan with 50 years of service.He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he and his wife were members of the Manning Co-ed Sunday School Class.He was also a member of the Philomathea Masonic Lodge #25. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lisa Bell of Elberton; daughters, Margaret Brady and Randall Haynes, of Elberton and Marya and her husband, Randall Wansley, of Buford; grandchildren, Matt and Brooke Thomas, John Michael and Claire Crowe, Lori and Jeffery Starrett and Drew and Jessica Brady; great grandchildren, Taylor and Finley Thomas, Rhett Crowe, Brady and Bailee Starrett, Skyler, Collins and Tatum Brady; Brother, Julian Bell and Sister-in-law, Patsy Hewell. Mr. Bell loved his family, as well as the caregivers and all the staff at Magnolia Estates. After a private graveside service, Mr. Bell will be laid to rest beside his wife in Elmhurst Cemetery on Saturday, Flowers will be graciously accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 398, Elberton, GA 30635 Arrangements are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
