Frank A Bennett

Mr. Frank A. Bennett, 77, of Elberton passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Christian Ministries Hospice in Griffin, Georgia. Mr. Bennett was born to the late Lee Bennett and Daisy Mae Ferguson Bennett. He was married to the late Marion Frances Dockery Bennett.He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Christina (Rod) Phillips of Griffin; and two sons: Dwayne (Kimberly) Bennett of Savannah and Doug Bennett of Elberton. Mr. Bennett is also survived by six grandchildren:Autumn Rennie of Lawrenceville, GA, Reed Phillips of Summerville, SC, Ryan Phillips of Clarksville, TN, Alexander Bennett of Savannah, GA, Joshua Bennett of Ft. Stewart, GA, and Blake Bennett of Goldmine, GA; nine great-grandchildren: Allyson Phillips, Emily Phillips, Aeden Rennie, Annabella Rennie, Ansley Rennie, Avaline Rennie, Sophia Bennett, Jaylee Bennett and Sawyer Bennett; and two sisters; Blondine Massey and Linda Dowell of Canon, Ga. Mr. Bennett was the co-owner of Bennett’s Sporting Goods in Bowman, Georgia. Funeral services for Mr. Bennett will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hick Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton.
