Hicks Funeral Home is announcing the death of Frank Norman for Anderson Underwood Funeral Home of Dahlonega. He is survived locally by his brother, Jack Norman.
Frank R. Norman, age 87, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2023. He was born on July 15, 1936, in Lincolnton, Georgia, to the late Claude Norman and the late Lottie Dallis Norman. Frank was a proud US Army Veteran, serving with distinction in the field of intelligence. His life was a testament to dedication, service, and a deep love for family.
Frank had an enduring passion for the outdoors and the thrill of adventure, often seen enjoying it while riding on his UTV. His hands were skilled, and he possessed the innate ability to mend and create, earning him the reputation of a true craftsman and mechanic. For over three decades, Frank devoted his professional career to Lockheed Martin, where he made invaluable contributions in the accounting department.
Beyond his professional achievements, Frank was known for his kind heart, selflessness, and unwavering love for his family. He shared his passion for sports as a dedicated coach of football and baseball at the Milford Community Center, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless young athletes.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pam Norman of Dahlonega; sons Gregg Norman of Acworth, Scott (Shelly) Norman of Douglasville, Todd Norman (Patricia Warden) of Dahlonega, and Mark Camp of Dahlonega; brothers Donald and Jack Norman; and grandchildren, Ryan Norman, Cory Norman, Brittany Norman, Tori Norman, and Spencer Norman. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.
It was Frank’s wish to be cremated. No public services are being held at this time.
