Fred Curtis Hampton

Mr. Fred Curtis Hampton, age 48 of Elberton, died Friday, January 30, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father Albert C. Hampton. Fred was a avid Georgia Football fan. He is survived by his wife, Sherlyn B. Hampton; mother, Jessie N. Hampton, both of Greer, SC; children, John C. Hampton of Elberton, Amanda Giannotti and Ricky Fuller, both of Greer, SC; sisters Brenda Scarborough of Elberton, and Elizabeth Clarke of Greer, SC; brother, Adam G. Hampton of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Justin and Destiny Fuller; cousin and best friend, Mitchell C. "Mickey" Bowman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in Welcome Wesleyan Church.Rev. Charles Parrott officiating.Interment will follow at Bethlehem UMC Cemetery.The family will receive friends Sunday 1-3 PM at the church prior to the service. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Fred Curtis Hampton.
