Gary Herbert Huff

Mr. Gary Herbert Huff, 63, of HN Ayers Road, Hartwell, husband of Susan Elaine Bailey Huff, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital.

Gary was born in Elberton on July 12, 1958, son of Betty Jane Moon Huff and the late George Herbert Huff. He was a 1976 graduate of Elbert County High School and a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church. Gary worked as a mechanic and was currently employed with WestRock Packaging. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR racing. Gary always loved going to the beach with his family and eating crab legs.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Susan and mother Betty Jane, include his son, Christopher Herbert Huff, Sr. and his wife Kayla of Elberton; grandson, Christopher Herbert “CJ” Huff, Jr. of Elberton; siblings: Tim and Pat Huff of Elberton and Tina and Jimmy Jones of Carlton; step-sons: Nathan and Morgan Pearson of Milledgeville and Joshua and April Pearson of Hartwell; step-grandchildren: Delaney, Natalie, Rainey, Becca, Josiah, and Selah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Lynn Anderson Huff; sister, Shirley Jane Huff; and brother, George Andrew “Andy” Huff.

The family is at the residence of Betty Jane Huff, 2189 Indian Hill Road, Elberton, and will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Gary’s life will be held on Friday, February 4, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Douglas Huff and Russell Bruce officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
