Mrs. Geneva “Sue” Lee Mills, 93 years old, daughter of the late Lester and Lenora Lovinggood, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family at her residence on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Chandler Mills; two sisters: Eunice Taylor and Rebecca Maxwell; four brothers: James, Haskin, Hobson, and Morris Lovinggood; and one son-in-law, David Chandler. Mrs. Mills enjoyed being a homemaker, and spending time with her family was the joy of her life. Mrs. Mills is survived by her three daughters: Brenda Bragg (Mike), Janet Harper (Greg), and Mitzi Chandler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Stephanie Fields, Michael Blackston (Kayla), Myles and Matthew Little, Chuck Chandler, John Harper, and Pamela Force (Joe); six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.Mrs. Mills also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and one brother, Donald Lovinggood. She had been a member of Grace Baptist Church in Elberton. A service to celebrate Mrs. Mills’ life was held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Dr. Steven R. Hurte officiating.Interment followedin Forest Hills Memorial Park with Michael Bragg, Greg Harper, Michael Blackston, Chuck Chandler, Evan Fields, and Noah Blackston serving as pallbearers. A time of visitation for family and friends began at 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Flowers were graciously accepted, and memorial contributions may be made to T.J. & Friends Foundation, P.O. Box 6161, Elberton, GA 30635, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
