Geneva Thomas Shirley

Mrs. Geneva Thomas Shirley, 89, of Ben Shirley Lane, Lavonia, GA wife of the late Joe Alton Shirley passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at NHC in Anderson, SC.

Mrs. Shirley was born October 2, 1926 in Stephens County, GA to the late Morris Thomas and Winnie Stamey Thomas. She was member of Lavonia Church of God and was a retired secretary.

Left to cherish her memories are sons: Russell Shirley of Lavonia, GA, Bobby Shirley of Martin, GA, Mark Shirley of Greenville, SC; sister Barbara Reynolds of Jonesboro, GA; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Richard Shirley.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held 11:30AM Saturday, April 16 at Lavonia Church of God with Rev. Adam Tripp officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested to please make memorials in her honor to Lavonia Church of God Building Fund 107 Bear Creek Rd. Lavonia, GA 30553.
