George Alvin Carter

Mr. George Alvin Carter, 72, of Johns Bridge Rd., Canon, GA passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Carter was born December 10, 1951 in Franklin County, GA to Whitey Carter and Helen Ann Fortescut Carter. He was a truck driver having worked for Harbin Lumber Company.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy Wilbanks Carter and siblings: Larry Carter of Toccoa, GA, Kathy Carter of Lavonia, GA and Donna Carter of Lavonia, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Danielle Deford whom he raised as a daughter.

Alvin's wishes were to be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.

Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. George Alvin Carter.
