George Dixon Rucker

George Dixon Rucker, 72, of 1624 Jaudon Rd. Elberton husband of Eva Bradford Rucker died Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Born in Elbert County he was a son of the late Gifford Rucker and Annie Rice Rucker. He was of the Baptist Faith, he was owner-operator of George Rucker Vases, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of the home Eva Bradford Rucker, sons William Rucker, Keith Rucker, and David Rucker all of Elberton, GA, sisters Beth Harrison and Annie Ruth Rucker both of Elberton, GA, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Willis Hopper Rucker. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 20, at 2PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Jack McVeigh officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will be at the home 1624 Jaudon Rd. and will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday night at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Jeff Nuckles, Tim Fowler, Bubba Childs, Gene Childs, Wayne Childs, Rusty Childs, Dean Bowman, and Elvis Hanley. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. George Dixon Rucker.
