George Washington Thomason

George Washington Thomason, 69, of 1615 George Thomason Dr. Elberton, GA husband of Margy Branscum Thomason died Thursday November 25, 2010 at his home. Born in Elbert County he was a son of the late Willis Thomason and Rosalee Seymour Thomason. He attended Doves Creek Baptist Church and was a retired stone cutter. Survivors include his wife of the home Margy Branscum Thomason, daughters Lavada Thomason of the home, Patricia Graham of Bowman, GA, and Karin Brown of St. Mary's, GA, sons Royce Thomason and Randy Thomason of the home, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Willene Moon, and brothers Emory Thomason, Alton Thomason, J.T. Thomason, and Junior Thomason. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday November 28, at 2PM at his home with Rev. Douglas Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will be at the home where they will receive friends from 4-8PM Friday and Saturday evening. Pallbearers will include sons Randy Thomason, and Royce Thomason, son-in-laws Otho Graham, and Robert Brown, brother-in-law Larry Hogan, and a grandson Zac Graham. The family has requested please in lieu of flowers to make donations to the Rosalee Lavada Thomason Trust Fund at Pinnacle Bank P.O. Box 430 Elberton, GA 30635.
