George Wayne Yeargin

Mr. George Wayne Yeargin, 82, of Elberton, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his daughter’s home. 

Mr. Yeargin was born in Elberton on September 23, 1942, son of the late George Albert Yeargin and Julia Vidalia Brown Yeargin. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy and was a retired meat cutter having worked at Bells and Quality Foods. Wayne was a member of Northside Baptist Church. 

Surviving are his children: Kelly Andrews (Keith) of Elberton, Kerri Pruitt (Randy) of Cleveland, and Todd Yeargin (Jamie) of Elberton; grandchildren: Jamie Blackmon (D.J.), Brittne McGee, Ryan Gilliard (Trista), Jessie Yeargin, Evan Yeargin, Jaylin Gillard, Cassin Andrews, and Addy Andrews; great-grandchildren: Starrett Blackmon, Kolsen Garner, Raevyn Cagle, Chesney Gillard, and Riggs Gilliard; and siblings: Judy Hairston and Jerry Yeargin. 

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 2:00p.m. at the home of Keith & Kelly Andrews, 1448 Lexington Highway, Elberton.
