Mrs. Georgia Willie Page Bond, 86, of Bond Drive, Elberton, wife of 63 years to Robert Norman “Pete” Bond, entered into rest on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Bond was born in Elbert County on January 17, 1931, daughter of the late Richard Levi Page and Ella Bell Davis Page. She was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. Throughout her life, Mrs. Bond worked in different capacities. They include Elberton Manufacturing, Ingles Deli, cafeteria at Beaverdam Elementary School, and the Rock Branch Recycling Center.
Along with her husband, Pete, she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bond Mooney and her husband Ronnie of Elberton; sisters: Lettie Ruth Garland of Dewy Rose, Annie Mae Fulbright of Bowman, and Mary Hilda Fountain of Royston; grandsons: Chris Johnson and Robbie Johnson; great-grandchildren: ShyAnne Johnson, Olivia Johnson, and Xavier Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, January 24, at 3 o'clock from the graveside in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Monday evening.
