Gerald Hudgens Hunt

Mr. Gerald Hudgens Hunt, 85, of N. Oliver Street, Elberton, husband of Linda Ann Alexander Hunt, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence. 

Mr. Hunt was born in Elberton on June 25, 1939, son of the late William Riley Hunt, Sr. and Ruth Maxwell Hunt. He was an antique dealer having worked at Hunt’s Antiques for 70 years. Gerald was a member of Northside Baptist Church and served in the Georgia Army National Guard for nine years. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife Linda, are his children: Michael G. Hunt and Cynthia Ann Hunt, both of Elberton; grandson, Gerald Hunt of Vermont; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Jack Hunt, Harold Hunt, Gene Hunt, and William “Bill” Hunt, Jr. 

The family is at the residence and will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, from 2:00-2:45p.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00p.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Dan Fernandez. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. 

The family respectfully requests flowers be omitted. If desired, contributions may be made to the Gerald Hunt Burial Fund at Pinnacle Bank.
