Gifford William Rucker

Mr. Gifford ‘William’ Rucker, 61, passed away at his home in Bowman, GA on Friday, January 5, 2024, with his wife of 38 years, Tami Dianne Massey Rucker, at his side. 

William was born in Elbert on July 15, 1962, son of the late George Dixon Rucker and Eva Pearl Bradford Rucker. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and worked as a mechanic for the majority of his life. William was an avid hunter and fisherman, and his passion was motorcycles. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife Tami, are his sons: William Jason Rucker and his wife Dianna and Joshua Thomas Rucker, both of Bowman; brother, David Rucker and his wife Casey of Chester, SC; sister-in-law, Martha Fowler Rucker of Elberton; grandchildren: Kenneth Lee Moates and Austin Hunter Rucker; parents-in-law, Billy and Sandra Massey of Bowman; aunt, Beth Harrison of Elberton; special friend who was like a brother, Pete Scales; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Rucker. 

At William’s request, no services will be held.
