Mr. Glenn Seaborn Greenway, 71, of Petersburg Village, Elberton, GA passed away Monday, August 17, 2020.
Mr. Greenway was born June 11, 1949 in Elberton, GA to Herbert L. Greenway and Estelle Lunsford Greenway. He was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a custodian and maintenance man. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife: Patti Ogilvie Greenway of the home; children: Anthony Glenn Greenway and Debbie Greenway of Elberton, GA, Mikky Greenway Haer and Timothy Haer of Melbourne Beach, FL, T. Jeremy Baugh and Elizabeth Baugh of Elberton, GA, Robert L. Baugh and Christy Baugh of McDonough, GA; sister and brother-in-law: Dianne Gulley and James Gulley of Dewy Rose, GA, sisters and brothers-in-law: Peggy Greenway, Paula and David Rose, Karla and Charlie Banks; aunts: Sallie Seymour and Annie Ruth Holmes; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Hill Greenway, brother: Howard Greenway and a sister: Arzilla Greenway.
Funeral services to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held 11AM, Thursday, August 20 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with military Honors.
Dennis Greenway, T. Jeremy Baugh, Timothy Haer, Nick Bell, Stephen Bell, Earl Gulley and Logan Lyon will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Gulley, Tony Graham, Mack Hendrix, Robert McBride and Melvin Hill.
The family will receive friends from 6PM-8PM Wednesday night at Berry Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in Glenn's memory to the Rock Branch Baptist Church Bus Fund.
