Gloria Nell Mccannon

Gloria Nell McCannon, 76, of 76 Bridges Road, Carlton wife of Jimmy McCannon died Thursday August 12, 2010 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of the late John Henry and Willie Mae Evans Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of Palmetto Christian Church. Survivors include her husband Jimmy McCannon, daughter Regina Bennett of Elberton, sisters Henrietta Patton of Bogart, GA, Jean Ridgeway of Statham, GA, and Sue Mattox of Winder, GA, brother Junior Edwards of Bogart, GA, and a grandson Alexander Bennett. She was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday August 15 at Vesta Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1PM to lie in state. The family will be at the home 76 Bridges Rd.
