Harold Ballard Sheriff

Mr. Harold Ballard Sheriff, 78, of Cromer Road, Elberton, husband of 27 years to Betty Ann Powell Sheriff, finished his course in faith on Monday, April 1, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospice House in Watkinsville.

Harold was born in Seneca, SC on September 15, 1940, son of the late John Malcom and Eunice Tucker Sheriff. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy and the owner/operator of Sheriff Construction. He enjoyed fishing and loved pets.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by two sons: Melvin Lamar Carroll, Jr. of Atlanta and Jon Edward Carroll of Winder; and siblings: Jimmy (Faye) Sheriff of Rockmart, David (Rachel) Sheriff of Fair Play, SC, Barbara (the late William) Freeman of Williamston, SC, and Patricia (Danny) Fulbright of Hartwell.

A time of remembrance with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 2 o'clock at Berry Funeral Home.
