Harold Bobby Dixon

Mr. Harold ‘Bobby’ Dixon, 76, of Cedar Lane, Calhoun Falls, SC, husband of 51 years to Virginia Dell “Jenny” Payton Dixon, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Bobby was born in Calhoun Falls, SC on January 12, 1944, son of Abbeville County Municipal Judge Harold Calvin Dixon and Effie Jane Davis Dixon. He was formerly employed with Rocky River Plant where he worked as a fixer and was of the Holiness faith. Bobby was an avid Clemson fan and guitar player.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Jenny, include his daughter, Patsy Dixon Wood; grandchildren: Holly Smith, Derek Wood, and Trent Wood; great-grandchildren: Lexie Smith, Mason Smith, Hayden Wood, and Kaden Wood; and special friend, Billy Boggs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Effie Dixon; and sister, Patricia Ann “Patsy” Dixon.

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 2 o’clock at Faith Harvest Fellowship in Calhoun Falls with the Revs. Michael Ford and Scotty Willoughby officiating. Interment will be private in Iva City Cemetery.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the church from 1:00-1:45p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
