Harold Dickerson

Mr. Harold Dickerson, 86, of Bowman Highway, Dewy Rose, GA passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Dickerson was born March 25, 1931 in Elberton, GA to Roy Thomas Dickerson and Josie Mae Bryant Dickerson. He was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, a retired weaver from the textile industry and a school bus driver.

He is survived by siblings: Martha Kidd and Tom; grandchildren: Jana Schultz and Scottie, great-grandchildren: Kyla Kinstle, Alyvia Brinson; great-great-grandchild: Gentry Kinstle and a special friend JoElla Scoggins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Alice Rousey Dickerson; brother: Thomas Dickerson and a sister: Elizabeth Burdette.

Funeral services will be held 4PM, Sunday, January 28, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family is at the home on Bowman Highway and will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in Harold’s memory to the Men of Iron at Dewy Rose Baptist Church.
