Mr. Harold Carl Greenway, 92, of Elberton, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Greenway was the son of the late William Carl and Nettie Teasley Greenway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jane Anderson Greenway; a daughter, Kimberly Greenway; and siblings, James Greenway and Doris Vaughn. He was retired from John D. Stephens Construction Company.He served his country in the United States Navy, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Survivors include daughters: Cheryl Kennedy of Bogart, Carla Creel of Walnut Cove, N.C., Pamela Greenway (Tom) of Rock Branch, and Katrina White (Gary) of Hartwell; and daughter-in-law, Claudia Erdmann of Frisco, Texas. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Stephen Kennedy, Michele Fambrough (Wesley), Ayanna Greenway, Penny Black, April Greenway, Patrick Greenway, William White (Laura), Addy Agee (Michael), Pam Cruce (Zack), and Monica Quattrocchi (Robert); great-grandchildren: Aydon Greenway, Delia Greenway, Kayla Lockett, Kimberly Camille Cruce, Elizabeth Quattrocchi, and Anastasia Quattroccchi; siblings, Nora Cantu and Dora Hamilton; and grand puppy, Gus White. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev. Nancy Morgan officiating. A time of visitation began at 12:30 p.m. just prior to the service. Interment followed in the Coldwater UMC Cemetery with Military Honors.Patrick Greenway, Stephen Kennedy, Wesley Fambrough, William White, Michael Agee, Zack Cruce, and Robert Quattrocchi served as pallbearers. Flowers were graciously accepted, and memorial contributions may be made to Coldwater UMC, 1753 Coldwater Rd., Elberton, GA. 30635. The family will be at the home on Double Bridges Rd. in Elberton. Arrangements for Mr. Harold Carl Greenway were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
