Harry Wayne Shedd

Mr. Harry W. Shedd, 75, of Elberton, formally of Commerce, GA passed away Tuesday, April 9th at Piedmont Athens Hospital. 

Mr Shedd was born October 16, 1948 in Clarksville, GA to Donald H. Shedd, Sr. and Dorothy B. Haynes Shedd. He was a Pentecostal Preacher, a retired truck driver and a U.S. Navy veteran. 

He is survived by his wife Mary Bennett Shedd; 2 sons: Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Shedd of Commerce, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. David Shedd of Helen, GA, 4 Step children: Mr. & Mrs. Paul Battaglia of Calhoun Falls, SC, Ms. Amy Reynolds of Tampa, FL, Ms. Jessica Fortson of Elberton, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Robby Bennett of Suprise, AZ; a great nephew of the home, Zach Biggler; 3 siblings: Barbara Coleman of Cummings, GA, Glenda Lester of Winder, GA, Debbie Halinar of Rolla, MO, 3 grandchildren: Alex, Ethan and Madison, 5 step grandchildren: John, TJ, Kason, Keaton and Zoey.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Donald H. Shedd, Jr and 2 step grandchildren: Stephen Battaglia and Paul Battaglia, III.

Harry was laid to rest at Bellton Baptist Church Cemetery in Lulu, GA along side his parents and brother on April 16, 2024.

A Celebration of Harry's life will be held Saturday,  May 18th, 2024 at 3pm at Celebration Outreach Center in Elberton. Family and Friends are invited to attend.
