Haskell William "Hack" Wells, 69, of Bowman, GA, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at his home. Born November 27, 1950 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late William Holland Wells and Maggie Williams Wells. He was married to the late Phyllis Wiles Wells until her passing in 1993. He was also predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Pittard. William spent his career in the textile industry. He also spent his winters in the woods hunting for deer and his summers fishing.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Dyar (Marty), Chastity Wells and Stephanie Saxton (Jason) all of Anderson, SC; companion, Judy Lawrence; grandchildren, Devin, Gage, Lorine, Chandler, Dylan and Marlee; great-grandchildren, Jane and Kash; brothers, Chad Wells (Kim) of Abbeville, SC, Ricky Wells (Barbara) of Starr, SC and David Wells (Myra) of Williamston, SC; sisters, Nancy Tannery (Raymond) of Anderson, SC, Tammy Moore (Ronnie) of Starr, SC, Sharon Williamston (Randall) of Starr, SC and Patricia Humphries of Pendleton, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.
The McDougald Funeral Home of Anderson is in charge of arrangements.
