Hazel Irene Stowers

Mrs. Hazel Irene Stowers went to be with the Lord, September 16, 2011. She was the daughter of Lizzie and Charlie Pruitt.She was married to the late Marion Stowers who worked with Hicks Funeral Home staff for several years. She worked as a beautician in her home in Bowman, Georgia for many years and had many, many friends throughout Georgia and South Carolina.She loved and was loved by those at Brookside Nursing Home, who took great care of her.Hazel was a happy person and always shared her good humor and cheerful disposition with others. Services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.prior to the service.Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman, Georgia. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Mae Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Broadwell.
