Helen B. Ayers

Mrs. Helen Beasley Ayers, of Elberton, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at the age of 91. Mrs. Ayers was born in Elberton to the late Albert and Annie Mae Brown Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Ayers.Mrs. Ayers was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church, and was a kind and gentle person who loved her family and friends so well. Mrs. Ayers is survived by her beloved sister, Martha B. Fortson, of Hartwell; as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved as though they were her children. A service to celebrate Mrs. Ayers’ life was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating.A time of visitation began at 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.Interment was in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dewy Rose Baptist Church, P.O. Box 149, Dewy Rose, GA 30634. Arrangements for Mrs. Helen Beasley Ayers were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
