Helen Holloman Bailey

Winterville, GA - Helen Bailey, 85, died December 15, 2014. Born in Carlton, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruby Gunter Holloman, her brother, Bud Holloman and her grandson, Phillip Hancock. Mrs. Bailey, together with her late husband of 66 years, A.L. Bailey, owned and operated Baileys Restaurant for over 15 years. Mrs. Bailey was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard Griggs of Elberton; grandchildren, Chris Hancock and Kerri Griggs Dowell; 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Martha (George) Fortson of Athens, Ann (David) Chambers of Nicholson, Jimmy (Jan) Holloman of Crawford, Francis King of Carlton, Bobby (Sybil) Holloman and Harriet Holloman of Crawford, George (Linda Kaye) Holloman of Hull, John C. (Grace) Holloman of Due West, SC, Walter Allen Holloman of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Rev. Ray Wuerzer officiating. Entombment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
