Henry Franklin "Frank" Sorrow

Henry Franklin "Frank" Sorrow, age 82, died peacefully on February 21, 2024, after a brief hospital stay.

Frank was born on December 31, 1941, at home in the Glade Community of Oglethorpe County, GA. His parents were William Thomas “Tom” and Annie Louise Arnold Sorrow, also of Oglethorpe County. He had one sister, Patricia Sorrow Glenn of Carlton, GA.  

Frank graduated from Oglethorpe County High School in 1959.

Frank had many hobbies. He loved music and was once in a band called “Frank Sorrow and the Echoes”. He was also an avid CB and ham radio user.

Frank was faced with many physical issues, and he did his best to overcome them and live a full life. One of his caregivers, Mary Collins, grew to be one of his closest friends.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia Sorrow Glenn of Carlton, GA; one nephew, Kenneth Martin Glenn; and many cousins.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Annie Sorrow of the Glade Community, of Oglethorpe County GA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 24, at 2:00p.m. at the Glade Methodist Church cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his parents. The Rev. Derek Paul will officiate.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
