Henry Webster Chambless, Sr., 93, of Elberton, formerly of Camilla, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 4, 2022.
Born November 12, 1928 in Pelham, GA, Mr. Chambless was the son of the late Eugene Franklin Chambless and Etta Harriett Lee Chambless. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He married his beautiful bride in 1952, and they raised three children. Mr. Chambless retired from Gwinnett County in 2001 and spent his remaining years in Elberton, GA. He was a Master Mason, a Scottish Rite member, and a Shriner. Mr. Chambless was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kirk Chambless and granddaughter, Kim Chambless.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mamie Sue Jones Chambless; a daughter, Shirley Harris (David); a son, Henry W. Chambless, Jr. (Bo); a daughter-in-law, Vicki Chambless; grandchildren, Chad Harris, BJ & Courtney Harris, Jamie & Nathan Stitley, Erika & Rocky Scott, Derek & Jessica Greene; great grandchildren, Hunter, Kalissa, Jake, Dylan, Caroline, and Auggie; and sister, Jeanette Ruffin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.
Berry Funeral Home of Elberton and Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla are in charge of arrangements.
