Herta Rainer Bond

Mrs. Herta Rainer Bond, 83, of Elberton, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.A native of Innsbruck, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Rudolf and Theresia Lebar Borchert Rainer.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Martin Bond. A sister, Hilda Guido and a brother, Karli Borchert.Mrs. Bond was a member of Northside Baptist Church and had worked as a Detention Officer in the Hart County Jail.She enjoyed flea markets and had a large collection of knick knacks and other collectibles. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Stephanie Bond; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and David Cleveland and Tammy and Byron Keith Gilliard; grandchildren, Caitlin Taylor Maxwell, Alexis Bond Dean, Macie Nicole Bond and Anna Marie Cleveland and two great grandchildren, Lilianna Brooklyn Dean and Camden Oliver Dean. Funeral services were Sunday, June 14th at 3:00pm in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Callaway officiating.Interment followed in Elmhurst Cemetery with Jeff Boswell, Josh Maxwell, Jose Cervantes, Jerry McClain, Jonathan Durrett and Adam Toole serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the home of Tammy and Keith Gilliard Saturday June 13th from 5-7pm, 1924 Rehoboth Road Ext., Bowman. Arrangements for Mrs. Herta Rainer Bond were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
