Mrs. Hilda Frances Pulliam Mercer, 75, of Hartwell Highway, Elberton, wife of Thomas Mercer, entered into rest on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mercer was born in Hart County on February 16, 1940, to the late James Robert and Dorothy Driver Pulliam. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Thomas Mercer of Elberton; children and their spouses: Tim and Donna Mercer of Elberton, Tracy and Kathy Mercer of Elberton, Todd and Melissa Mercer of Bowman, and Tiffany Mercer of Elberton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters: Doris Floyd of Dewy Rose and Beverly Caldwell of Lexington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Melissa Mercer and brother, Robert Pulliam. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, May 5, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. David McConnell and Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with Keith Floyd, Christopher Floyd, Marlon Caldwell, Trevor Caldwell, Marty Pulliam, and Curt Pulliam honored as pallbearers. The family is at the residence on Hartwell Highway and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Monday evening.
