Horace Elberthart Bradford

Mr. Horace Elberhart Bradford, 88, of Wyche Circle, Elberton, husband of 61 years to Rosa Lee Coker Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Bradford was born in Elberton on December 4, 1932, son of the late Collie Frank Bradford and Hazel Hortense Partain Bradford. He was a stone cutter in the granite industry having worked for 71 years, and was proud of the opportunity to have been able to work on Stone Mountain and the Guidestones. Horace was a lifelong member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, a Shriner, and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Rosa Lee, he is survived by his children: Deborah and Michael Lindsay of Clemmons, NC, Horace E. “Pete” Bradford, Jr. of Elberton, and Tina Preston of Elberton; daughter-in-law, Jane Bradford of Liberty, SC; grandson reared in the home, Christopher Haffad; grandchildren: Jason Lindsay, Laura and Josh Brown, April and Jason Carter, Tristy Callaway, Daniel Bradford, Meagan and Daniel Nations, and Nicholas Bradford; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Annette King of Hartwell and Boyd and Mary Ann Bradford of Elberton; sisters-in-law: Joyce Bradford of Easley, SC and Peggy McVeigh of Carlton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons: David Bradford and Terry Bradford; and two brothers: Dean Bradford and Frankie Bradford.
