Howard Travis Seymour, 89, of 2284 Anderson Highway, Elberton, husband of the late Madeleine Bagwell Seymour, passed away Wednesday morning, September 21, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Seymour was born in Elbert County, December 10, 1921, son of the late Asa Howard and Lila Berryman Seymour. He was a retired Electrical Technician with the Federal Aviation Agency and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII Mediterranean and Pacific Theater. Mr. Seymour was a member of Solid Rock Family Worship Center, formerly Elberton Church of God. Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Stuart Seymour of Elberton and Powell Travis Seymour of Highpoint, NC; daughter, Linda Faye Hindman of Hendersonville, NC; nine grandchildren, Todd Arcos of Hendersonville, NC, Allen Seymour of Elberton, Chad Seymour, of Anderson, SC, Paul T. Arcos of Tampa, FL, Brian Seymour of Elberton, Leah Hernandez of Greensboro, NC, Wendy Hicks of Greensboro, NC, Michael Misenheimer of High Point, NC and Chris Seymour of Greensboro, NC; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11AM Saturday, September 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Eric Pennington and Brian Seymour officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors. The family is at the residence, 2284 Anderson Highway, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM Friday.
