Mrs. Ima Jewell Rosser Oglesby, 93, of Deep Creek Road, Dewy Rose, wife of the late N.B. Oglesby, Jr., entered into rest on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Pruitt Health at Spring Valley.
Mrs. Oglesby was born in Elbert County on March 12, 1923, daughter of the late Zera McRae Rosser and Georgia Hall Rosser. She was a homemaker and worked as a Clerk at Elbert Memorial Hospital for many years. Mrs. Oglesby was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her son, Darrell Oglesby and his wife Susan of Hartwell; grandchildren: Todd McRae Oglesby and his wife Betsy and Leah Oglesby Greene and her husband Bobby; great-grandchildren: Todd McRae Oglesby, Jr., William Rosser Oglesby, Amelia Susanna Greene, and Addy Marie Greene; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Oglesby; and siblings: Zera Nell Rosser, Bill Rosser and his wife Dot, and J.C. Rosser.
Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, September 17, at 2 o’clock in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the residence, 1648 Deep Creek Road in Dewy Rose.
