Imogene Echols Standard

A celebration of life for Imogene Echols Standard, age 91, will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Wynne officiating. She died on Sunday, March 31 at Harper’s Personal Care Home.

Imogene was a native of Tignall and was the daughter of Marvin Eugene and Ruth Echols. She was married to the late Arthur C. Standard for 61 years and had lived in Pensacola, Florida for 52 years before coming to Harpers in 2016. In addition to her parents and a brother, Marion Echols, she was preceded in death by her husband and three children, Diane Snellgrove and Chuck Standard of Pensacola and Sam Standard of Modesto, California.

She is survived by two grandsons, Rob Snellgrove (Patti) of Pensacola and Jon Snellgrove of Wisconsin; three sisters Norma Pittman of Sharon; Bobbie Poss of Martinez, and Carolyn Smith of Washington, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tignall Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Berry Funeral Home of Elberton is in charge of arrangements.
