Iris Bobo Davis

Mrs. Iris Bobo Davis, 68, of Athens Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Doyle Robert Davis, Sr., passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at her residence.

Iris was born in Elberton on January 22, 1953, daughter of the late James Goodman “Shine” Bobo and Margie Gantt Bobo Trotter. She was a graduate of Elbert County High School and had worked in many capacities; however, most will remember her from Ashley Optics. Affectionately known as “Nana”, Iris and Doyle opened their home to many extended family members and friends throughout the years, and she loved each and every one dearly.

Survivors include her children: Doyle Robert “Bobby” Davis, Jr. and Crystal of Elberton, Dawn Collins and Mike Starrett of Bowman, and Nicole Bobo and Nicole Hattaway of Danielsville; grandchildren: Addisyn, Isaac, Gavin, and Brooke; siblings: Shirley Bobo, Dora Jarrett, James Bobo, Charles Bobo, Tim Trotter, and Andrew Veal; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, James Rufus Trotter; siblings: Thomas Bobo, Kathryn Bobo, and Faye Pierce; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Deal Thomas Davis and Mattie Howard Davis.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, from 7:00-9:00p.m.
