Jackie Thompson Coggins

Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Thompson Coggins, 75, of Elberton, wife of 41 years to the late Rev. William Knox Coggins, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, with her daughters at her side.

Jackie was born in Elberton September 9, 1943, daughter of the late John and Helen Adams Thompson. She was a retired draftsperson having worked in the granite industry and a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church. She was a very artistic person who enjoyed arts and crafts as well as playing the piano.

She was the beloved mother of the late Curtis Alan Coggins, Cindy Coggins of East Flat Rock, NC, and Lisa (Jeff) Haynes of Elberton; grandmother of Jaime Coggins, Wendy (Josh) Collier, Jeffrey Haynes, II, and Parker Haynes; and great-grandmother of Riley Grace Collier and Bentley Dean Collier.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the residence of Jeff and Lisa Haynes, Heard Drive, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00p.m. on Friday evening, February 22.
