Jacquelyn Greenway Bond, 82, of 2146 Harmony Road Elberton, GA wife of J. Elston Bond died Monday May 10, 2010. Born in Elbert County she was a daughter of the late William Lindsey Greenway and Ruby Bond Greenway. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was a retired lunchroom manager from Beaverdam School for 30 years. Survivors include her husband J. Elston Bond of the home, daughters and son-in-laws Ann and Steve Haltom of Elberton, GA and Carolyn and Charles Bond of Goldmine, GA, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Freda Fontenot and a brother Joel Greenway. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 12, at 4PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Al Davis and Rev. Billy Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Ann and Steve Haltom 2476 Hartwell Hwy. Elberton, and will receive friends from 2-4PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Eddie Bond, Skip Bond, Mark Haltom, J.W. Haltom, Matt Rorrick, and Kris Mercer. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her honor to Spring Valley Nursing Home of Elberton. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jacquelyn Greenway Bond.
