Jacquelyn Gaines Stratton

Mrs. Jacquelyn “Jackie” Gaines Stratton, 82, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Jackie was born in Elberton on March 8, 1931, to the late James Caswell and Tallie Lee Gaines. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Jefferson Stratton, Jr.; five sisters and two brother. Jackie is survived by her sons, Roger Stratton and Jeff (Wanda) Stratton; grandchildren: Melissa Stratton, Chad (Emilia) Stratton, Torri Stratton (Josh) Mills, and Whitley Stratton (Justin) Bellew;great grandchildren: Brady Johnson, Abbey Johnson, Dawson Mills, Hailee Stratton, Emma Stratton, Bryson Mills and Presley Bellew; a sister, Geralydyn “Gerri” Bessinger ; and a brother, Joe W. Gaines. She is also survived by a former daughter-in-law Freda Stratton. A memorial service to celebrate Jackie’s life was held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Inurnment followed at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, Georgia.
