Mr. Jake Edwin Beasley, of Athens, GA, a devoted son, brother, and loyal friend passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Only 33 years old, but he possessed the wisdom and life experiences of someone three times his age. Jake was witty, intelligent and overly kind. He would literally give the coat off his back to anyone in need.
One of Jake’s greatest passions was helping people. A humble and unique man, Jake loved all those he encountered, and countless ones loved him back. A 2007 graduate of Madison County High School and an honor graduate of the University of Georgia.
Jake is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Gary Egan of Hull; and his brother, Chance Beasley of Danielsville. He was recently preceded in death by his father, Michael Edwin Beasley, whom he was extremely close to. We take solace knowing they are reunited in heaven with his grandparents, Margaret and Joe Cohen Beasley, Charles Willie Brown and Betty Dills Thurmond.
In Jake’s wishes, he will be cremated and interred beside his father. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 30, at 7 PM at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Dickerson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 6 to 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jake’s name to The Sparrow’s Nest in Athens or Bigger Vision of Athens in order to continue to help those in need for Jake’s legacy.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
