James "Big Daddy" Olds Campbell

Mr. James Olds Campbell, 59, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home.“Big Daddy” as he was known was a native of Elberton, and the son of the late Dr. Harold Eugene and Betty Whitehead Campbell.In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Eugene Campbell, Jr. and Charles “Chuck” David Campbell.Mr. Campbell was a Sr. Engineer Technician in the Communications industry and worked for Scientific Atlanta.He was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of thirty three years, BarbaraSkinner Campbell, of Hartwell; Daughter, Jaime Michelle Johnson and her husband, Andrew, of Elberton; four grandchildren, Shaun McMillan (Danielle), Austin McMillan, Logan Johnson and Ashton McMillan; four great grandchildren, Timothy Villagomez, Nevaeh Villagomez, Nathan Villagomez and Levi Hunter; one brother, Dr. Joe Campbell (Marcie), of Hartwell. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, September 16th at 6:00pm in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Dr. Jim McCullough officiating. Arrangements for Mr. James Campbell were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
