Mr. James Maxwell “Jimmy” Brown, III, age 68, of Carlton Brown Road, Canon, husband of 30 years to Kathy ‘Denise’ Pierce Brown, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his residence.
Jimmy was born in Royston on June 15, 1955, and spent the majority of his life in Canon. He was a 1973 graduate of Hart County High School and a member of Redwine Church. Jimmy and Denise worked side-by-side as self-employed chicken farmers.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Denise, are his children: Kyle Anthony Brown and his wife Amanda, Ethan Maxwell Brown, Elliot James Brown, and Seth Jackson Brown, all of Canon; grandchild, Kyson Brown; siblings: Alice Eaves of Athens, Larry Brown and his wife Janet of Royston, and Amy Johnson and her husband Brian of Tifton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mason and Kathleen Pierce of Dewy Rose; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Maxwell Brown, Jr. and Geraldine “Geri” Nixon Brown.
Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 21, at the Redwine Church Cemetery with the Rev. Timothy Baer officiating.
