James Allen Deas, Sr.

Mr. James `Allen’ Deas, Sr. 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Mr. Deas was born July 2, 1932 in Augusta, GA to Frank Deas and Mamie Johnson Deas.

Allen was a man whose life was filled with love for his family, bringing them deep joy. He was a proud Georgia Bulldog fan, who also had enthusiasm for the great outdoors. As an avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with loved ones by the water.

However, it was in the embrace of his family and friends that Mr. Deas found the truest meaning of happiness. A devoted father, he is survived by his children Tonia Young (Jackie) of Thomson, GA, Patsy Hillman (Gary) of Gibson, GA, James Deas, Jr (Karen) of Harlem, GA, Tammy Pless (Shane) of Elberton, GA, and Jennifer Deas of Harlem, GA.  His legacy is further enriched by the love and joy embodied in his 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a testament to the affection and warmth he shared with the generations that followed him.

Allen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. As we come together to honor his life, we will cherish the lasting love he generously poured into his family.  May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched, and may the cherished memories bring comfort and peace as we reflect on his life. His love will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will be a source of inspiration for generations to come
