James Thomas Garrett

Mr. James Thomas Garrett, 80, of Athens, Georgia died Monday, June 14, 2021 at University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Garrett was born in Danielsville, Georgia on April 28, 1941. He was the son of the late Jason Marshall and Annie Mae Garrett.Mr. Garrett worked at the Madison County Road Department and was a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Garrett, and his daughter-in-law, Angela Garrett. Survivors include his son, Jason Garrett of Comer; his daughter, Jean Crane (Frankie) of Danielsville; his sisters, Ruie Pittard and Peggy Samples; and his brother, David Garrett.He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time, however your thoughts and prayers for the family are sincerely appreciated. Arrangements for Mr. James Thomas Garrett were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
