James Herman Bond Sr.

James Herman Bond Sr., of 1943 Bond Drive Elberton GA., died Monday June 28, 2010 at the home. Born in Elbert County, he was a son of the late Holcomb V. Bond and Julia Mae McMullan Bond. He was a member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church a Truck Driver and a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include Sons: James Carroll Bond of Statham, GA., Joel Vernon Bond and Gerald Oscar Bond of Watkinsville, GA., and James Herman Bond Jr. of Elberton, GA. Sisters: Lanora Mae Anderson of Elberton, GA., Helen Borders of Dewey Rose, GA., Brothers: Robert Norman Bond of Elberton GA., Clyde Ray Bond of Elberton, GA., 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11 AM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Sayer officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends form 6 to 8 PM Wednesday June 30, at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Allen Bond, Rickie Anderson, Chris Johnson, Ronald Bond, Chad Anderson, Robbie Johnson. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for James Herman Bond Sr.
