James "Jim" Gary Cash

James Gary “Jim” Cash, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 following an extended illness.  

Jim was born in Athens and lived in Marietta before moving to Elberton.  He was the owner of Cash Heating and Air and later worked for R&B Heating and Air.  He was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church.

Jim loved life.  He enjoyed the thrill of riding a motorcycle, the excitement of a big catch, and the joy of making others laugh with his jokes.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and his father in law.

Jim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sharon Sanders Cash; mother in law, Bessie Sanders; sister in law, Vickie Sanders and Debbie Leslie (Jim); niece, Caty Brennen (Michael), son, Gary Cash; daughter, Cindy Cash; and brother, Harvey Cash (Shirley.)
