James Richard King

Mr. James Richard King, 81, of Richard King Rd. Lavonia, GA passed away Monday, December 11, 2023.

Mr. King was born June 24, 1942 in Lavonia, GA to James Arthur King and Dora Elizabeth Porterfield King. He was a retired nickel plating technician from Franklin Industries and was a Army National Guard Veteran.

He is. survived by his wife: Mary Marlene Hill King; son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Tasha King of Lavonia, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rachel and David Nicholson of Texas, Faye and Steve Tanner of Carnesville, GA;  grandchildren: AJ King, Tyler King, Amelia King, Brianna King and a great-grandchild: Cora Hopkins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Elizabeth King and siblings: Melvin, Moe, Louise, Evelyn and Max.

Private memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. James Richard King.
