James Michael Bridges

James Michael "Mike" Bridges, 50, of Athens, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012, in DeKalb County. Mr. Bridges was born in Franklin County, October 14, 1962, to Wayne Bridges and the late Paulette Haley Thornton. He was a hairdresser and employed with Kroger of Athens. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Denise Poss; step-daughters, Chasity Poss and Krissy Heard; father and step-mother, Wayne and Deborah Bridges of Elberton; step-brother, Ken Paul of Bowman; grandmothers, Zelma Fry of Elberton and Catherine Haley of Sandy Cross; and nieces and nephews. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 10, in the Celebration Outreach Center with the Revs. Eric Pennington and Richard Grimes officiating.
