James Charles Thatcher

James C. Thatcher, 61, of Royston, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Virginia Thatcher; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Lamar Pullian, Tammy Bennett, Teresa Weaver, and Tracy and Terry Harris; grandchildren, Tony and Tonya Pullian, Joshua and Amanda Bennett, Kendra, Kristen and Nick Crawford, Erica Rice, Kelsey Harris; and a number of friends and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10am, in the Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Johnny Stowe and Janis Loggins officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, October 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
