Jane Fry Bridges

Mrs. Jane Evelyn Fry Bridges, 64, of Elberton, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Mrs. Bridges was the daughter of the late Eugene “Jim” and Zelma Smith Fry.She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Nash.She had worked at Cato’s in retail clothing as both a sales associate and a manager. Survivors include her husband, Lamar Maxwell, of Elberton; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Capell, of Elberton; granddaughter, Jamie McLanahan and her husband, Zed; great-granddaughter, Wendy Lee McLanahan; brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Debbie Bridges, Ricky and Doris Fry, and Gary Fry and Kathy Fleming; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Richard Grimes officiating.A time of visitation was held from 1:00 – 2:45 p.m. just prior to the service time. Interment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Scott Black, Josh Fry, Jake Fry, Morgan Fry, Chris Capell and Zed McLanahan serving as pallbearers.
