Mrs. Janet Ruthann Jenkins Beitzel, 84, of Calhoun Falls Hwy. Elberton, GA passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024. 

Mrs. Beitzel was born October 5, 1939 in Harrisburg, PA to David G. Jenkins and Margaret Bevins Jenkins. She was a member of Celebration Outreach Center and previously worked as a switchboard operator with Southern Bell, a secretary with Group Underwriters and was a para-pro with the Elbert County School System. 

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Allan Joseph Beitzel; sons and daughter-in-law: Mark and Laura Beitzel of Simpsonville, SC, daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer and Alden Miller of Dewy Rose, GA, Heather and Brooks Mewborn of Hartwell, GA, Lisa Black Smyth of PA; sisters: Edna Kobre of Scranton, PA, Emily Hewitt of Ocean City, MD, and Jane Refice of PA; nine grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Celebration Outreach Center with Rev. John Case, Rev. Bill Jones and Don Beitzel officiating.
