Janet Collier

Janet Virginia Hancock Collier, 62, of 141 Mt. Laurel Run, Athens, Georgia passed away Saturday December 31, 2011. Born in Anderson, South Carolina September 17, 1949 to Virginia Phillips Hancock and the late Cecil Hancock. She was a school teacher mostly in Cherokee County where she retired after 25 years of teaching. Left to cherish her memories are a daughter Leah C. Landes of Alexandria, Virginia, a son William M. Collier Jr. of Washington D.C., her mother Virginia Phillips Hancock of Athens, Georgia, and a sister Cecile Nash of Tampa, Florida. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held Saturday January 14, at 3PM in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home.
